A one-time mayor of Exeter, Mr C.W.H.Hill was a director of Exeter City from the 1930s to the 1950s.  

Born in Exeter in 1900, Charles William Holcombe Hill ran a bakery business based on Clifton Road and was one of the club's largest shareholders. Appointed to the club's board in 1935 when he was still in his mid-thirties, he was to serve on the board until around the time he was mayor of the city in 1954. 

Mr Hill died in 1973.
