Cosway, Mike
In July 1968, Exeter City appointed 21-year-old Mr. Michael Cosway, of 38, Monkswell Road, Exeter, as their new secretary. He was probably the youngest secretary in the Football League. Mike Cosway succeeded Dick Miller, who was killed in a car crash recently. Mr. Cosway, who was previously an accounts clerk, took up his new appointment on the 22nd July 1968.
Chairman of the Board of directors, Mr. Leslie Kerslake, said the directors had appointed a young man because they wanted someone who would stay a long time and "somebody with enthusiasm for the club as well as the job." Mr. Cosway's brother, Christopher, was chairman of the Exeter City Young Supporters' Club
