St Sidwell's United and Paignton met in a friendly match on the ground of the former, and a very inter- esting encounter was witnessed. In the first portion play ruled very even, but Eveleigh gave the home side the lead with a good shot and the teams changed over with the Saints lead- ing by a goal. The visitors pressed for a short time at the commencement of the second half, but the Saints drove them back, and Thomas put them further ahead. Shortly after Sellick scored and the homesters ran out winners by three goals to nil.
