Only one match in the East Devon Senior League was played on Saturday, the 110th Battery being entertained by St Sidwell's It was a capital match to watch. The Saints were without Bailey, but they were strengthened by the presence of Keech, of Crediton Grammar School: Gilbert, of the Devons; and Hooper. Each team scored on three occasions, and this about represents the game. The Saints' forwards did much better thon they have for some time past. The defence was fairly safe. The League competition has been very quiet for a week or two, but with the New Year things will brighten up.
