Match Report 2
St Sidwell's v Plympton

The above teams met at St James' Field, Exeter yesterday in fine weather, and be- fore a good gate. St Sidwell's started up-hill with the wind, and pressed but the visiting back relieved his side in good time. Eveleigh got the leather and passed to Massey, who took a long shot, but Crebel, the visitors' goal- keeper, stopped the ball in fine style. Soon after this Eveleigh, one of the homesters' forwards had to leave the field, owing to a strained shoulder. The visitors then pressed, and Truscott scored a goal with a fine shot. Up to half time, the visitors led by a goal to nil.

After lemons Eveleigh again returned to play, but was not so fit for football as before the accident. The visitors pressed and scored the second goal through Wimbleton. After this Sit Sidwell played much better, and Davidson took the ball down the field, passed to Sellick who notched a goal for the homesters amid much cheering. St Sidwell pressed, but could not find the net a second time. The game ended in a win for Plympton by two goals to one
