St Sidwell's v Exmouth Albion

Crushing Defeat.

St Sidwell's United met Exmouth Albion on the United's ground. Pinhoe-road, Satur- day afternoon. There was a very high wind blowing, which interfered considerably with the game. The home team had the better of the game throughout, and were, by far, the superior of the two. St. Sidwell's showed some pretty combination, and in the first half scored twice. In the second half the home- sters again had the advantage. The for- wards dribbled, and passed well, with the re- sult that they put through six more goals. The final score, accordingly, was: St. Sid well's United, eight goals; Exmouth Albion, nil. The Exmouth team have yet much to learn. There seemed to be no cohesion among the players.

St. Sidwell's play Ashley Villa Bristol, to-day at 11 o'clock. This is the first time that a Bristol Association eleven have visited Exeter.
