St Luke’s College (h)
Friendly

Wednesday, February 26th.

Friendly, at St. James's Park.

City Reserves 6-3 St Luke's College

A "friendly" was played before a small crowd at St. James's, between Exeter City Reserves and St. Luke's. The City fielded a strong side, including Cooper, Whittaker, and Rigby, of the Southern League eleven. The City pressed for long periods in the opening half, but were some time in opening their account. Cooper then scored two goals with clever cross-shots, and Golightly added a third. The College backs, Sanders and Lindley, played very well, and the last-named once stopped Garside after he had run through to within five yards of the goal.

Half-time City 3 St Luke's nil.

In the second half Beckett (inside-right) scored twice for the Collegians, Golightly headed Exeter City's fourth, Cooper shot the fifth from Garside's centre, and Golightly got the sixth. In the last five minutes Simpson scored for St Luke's
