Biographical Text

20-year-old centre-back Luca Woodhouse joined Exeter City in  June 2025 shortly after he had been part of the Aldershot Town team that won the FA Trophy. Starting his career with Tonbridge Angels, he had been a development squad professional with Wycombe Wanderers from where he had played for Aldershot on loan.

He had spent the 16-18 age-group stage of his career at Tonbridge Angels with periods on loan at Whitstable Town and Hythe Town. He then joined the development squad at Wycombe Wanderers where he spent three years and gained further loan experience with Slough Town, Worthing, Banbury United, Dagenham & Redbridge and, finally, Aldershot Town where he played 20 times in the National League as well as in the 3-0 FA Trophy Final win over Spennymoor.

Arriving at St James' Park in June 2025, and signing a two-year deal, he made his first-team debut for City against Cheltenham Town in the League Cup in August 2025 followed by his league debut as substitute against Northampton Town ten days afterwards. Not always featuring regularly, he had made sixteen first-team appearances (including seven as substitute) before making his FA Cup debut for the Grecians in the 10-1 defeat at Manchester City in January 2026. And, with City enjoying a good run after that game, Luca netted his first goal for the Grecians in the draw at Reading later in the month.
