Lauren Jones was in charge of performance analysis at Exeter City when Gary Caldwell was manager.

A graduate of Bournemouth University (where she played for the football teams), and the holder of a masters qualification in performance analysis and sport performance from Chichester University, Lauren initially worked as an intern with AFC Bournemouth followed by a short spell with West Bromwich Albion before returning to Bournemouth as academy lead performance analyst. She then moved to Southampton in 2020 prior to enjoying a short secondment working with Exeter City's first-team during 2023.

Lauren subsequently spent time with Forest Green Rovers as first-team analyst ahead of returning to Southampton in the position of first-team opposition analyst. 

Making her return to St James' Park in April 2024 as head of performance analysis, Lauren remained with the club until joining Gary Caldwell at Wigan Athletic in February 2026.
