Doidge, Rob
Rob Doidge, who became a trustee of Exeter City Supporters' Trust, saw his first game at St James' Park in April 1960 when the Grecians drew against Crystal Palace. After winning a scholarship to Exeter School, he became part of an impromptu Cowshed choir with several of his schoolmates and - during the school holidays - he would sometimes watch the players train at St James' Park. This led to an offer from manager Jack Edwards to act as a ballboy, an experience that lasted for over two years including the 1963/64 promotion season.
