Eric Kinder was Matt Taylor’s assistant manager between 2018 and 2019. 

Originally from Blackburn, he played for Accrington Stanley, Morecambe and Clitheroe before taking a coaching role with Preston North End where he met Matt Taylor who was registered with the club whilst at school. After moving on to Blackburn Rovers, Eric spent many years at Carlisle United in charge of youth football prior to a return to Ewood Park to manage the under-23 team. 

Having arrived at Exeter City in June 2018, Eric left a year later to take on an academy role back at Carlisle United which was followed by a coaching stint with Bengaluru FC in Bangalore.
