Vandale, Michael

Michael Vandale, a Canadian with oil and property interests, was a director of Exeter City in the early 2000s.

Mr Vandale from Alberta joined the Exeter City board towards the end of Ivor Doble's active participation in the club in October 2000 and remained on the scene until the departure of John Russell and Mike Lewis in April 2003. He is understood to have been a major financial backer during this period.

Around this time he was also director of professional football with the Canadian Soccer Association alongside controlling the Calgary Storm club. He was instrumental in attracting Tommy Wheeldon, who ran City's football in the community programme, to move to Calgary where he stayed for fifteen years.
