Warne, John

John Warne, a taxi proprietor, was an Exeter City director from 1946 to 1962. 

Mr Warne, who ran a taxi fleet from his base on Bonhay Road, was on the board for the first sixteen years after World War Two as he approached the end of his working life. He resigned in February 1962 along with two other directors and died in 1972 aged eighty-four.
