Wally Rice was a director of Exeter City during the 1970s and served as vice-chairman.

Mr Rice (then aged fifty-nine) had just retired from St Luke’s College, where he had been a warden and geography lecturer, when he joined the Exeter City board in 1970. 

Orginally from Surrey, Walter Oswyth Rice remianed involved at St James' Park until shortly before his death in 1980.
