Honey, Keith
Keith Honey was Exeter City’s club secretary between 1960 and 1962. Relieved of his duties at a time of boardroom upheaval, he was later Southampton’s secretary when the Saints won the FA Cup in 1976.
Cornish-born, but having lived in Exeter since he was young, Mr Honey was aged thirty-nine when he was appointed as secretary of Exeter City. At a time when the club was constantly changing secretaries, he was relieved of his duties after two years as the club entered troubled times behind the scenes.
Remaining in football, he became secretary of Southampton FC and was in post when the club won the FA Cup in 1976. He died in the Hampshire city at the age of ninety in 2012 .
