Lake, Trina
Trina Lake, a former Exeter women's player, was the Express and Echo's football correspondent at the time of City's 1990 Division Four championship success.
Trina, a past pupil of Tiverton Grammar School, had been a forward with Tiverton Ladies when she joined Exeter Ladies FC in 1977. Later switching to defence, she eventually captained the team whilst training to become a journalist and progressing to become chief football reporter for the Express and Echo.
Remaining in the post from the early 1980s for the best part of a decade Trina reported on the club at a time of lows and highs which culminated in the 1990 championship campaign. She later worked for ITV and Force, a local cancer charity.
