A Loughborough University graduate, who had most recently worked for British Airways, he joined Jersey European Airways in 1999 and helped launch the new Flybe brand in 2002 in his role as director of marketing. Soon involved in sponsoring an Exeter City team transitioning into supporter ownership, the shirt sponsorship deal was still in place when he left the airline in 2014.
