The fourteen-year-old from the Ebbw Vale area later enjoyed a long career in South Wales semi-professional football with Merthyr Tydfil, Cwmbran Town, Llanelli, Carmarthen Town and, most notably,  Barry Town. Late in his career he enjoyed several seasons with Bath City and also managed Tredegar Town.

Coming from outside the Exeter area he most likely only trained with Exeter City during the school holidays
