Evans, Pete

Pete Evans was Exeter City's media manager between 2009 and 2012. Remaining a follower of the Grecians, he later worked for a number of organisations including the Press Association and Betfair.

A former pupil of Queen Elizabeth's school in Crediton, Pete studied journalism, media and cultural studies at Cardiff University prior to becoming Exeter City's media manager in May 2009. This saw him having repsonsibility for website content, editing the programme, providing match reports, conducting interviews, creating material for the Grecian Player and developing the club's social media channels. This work led to several awards from the Football League as well as various accolades for the match programme.

He left City in October 2012 to work for the Press Association covering a dozen or so clubs in the south-west and south of England before editing the sports section of London24.com until June 2016. This was followed by a move into the gambling industry initially as social media manager for Betstars and, from May 2020, several similar positions with Betfair.
