Bernadette Coates served as a member of the Exeter City Supporters' Trust board between 2011 and 2015.

Originally from Manchester, Bernadette had been introduced to football by her father, a Manchester City supporter and enthusiastic amateur footballer. Moving to Exeter in 2002 she immediately started supporting the Grecians at a troubled time for the club. Soon becoming a member of the embryonic trust, which was to take control during 2003, she later successfully stood for election to become a trustee.

An administrator with the NHS, she also became involved in the Exeter City history group and helped devise the original digitalised stadium tour.
