Braithwaite, Carlos
Well-known West Indian cricketer Carlos Braithwaite, a team-mate of the Exeter City-supporting Jake Lintott, attended an FA Cup replay at St James' Park in November 2021.
Carlos was on the books of Warwickshire in 2021 when his county team mate Jake Lintott, a long-standing Exeter City supporter from Taunton, was enjoying considerable success and attention playing for the Southern Braves in the inaugural The Hundred completion. Fresh from this, Jake and the Barbadian all-rounder attended City's FA Cup replay against Bradford City (a replay that was having to be staged for a second time because of a mix-up over substitutions).
Then aged thirty-three, Carlos was in the latter stages of a career that had seen him represent the West Indies between 2011 and 2019 together with teams in Australia, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan as well as Kent, Warwickshire and the Manchester Originals.
