Martin Ellicott was a member of the Exeter City AFC Supporters Society (later the supporters' trust) board at the time of incorporation in 2000.

Martin was one of six original trustees along with David Treharne, Christopher Lowman, Ian Huxham, Paul Garnham and Fiona Neligan. He was also part of a slightly larger group of supporters who were present at the trust’s foundation. 

Remaining as a trustee until 2003, he acted as treasurer in 2002 and later accompanied David Treharne to chairman Ivor Doble's jewellers' shop with the funds required to take control from Mr Doble.
