Steve McLear was a coach and manager with Exeter City Ladies between from 2003 to 2007.

A construction industry contracts manager from Dawlish, Steve was involved in women's football in Exeter either side of the club that was known as Exeter City being taken over by Cullompton Rangers in 2006. 

Steve remained at the Exeter end as first-team coach of the new Exeter City Ladies Centre of Excellence side that competed in the Devon Women's League. Fielding an extremely young side, the new team maintained the link between the main club and women's football at a time when it was suddenly endangered.
