Exeter City Women were delighted to announce the signing of Saskia Heard on the 22nd June 2027.

Commanding central defender Saskia joined the Grecians from Arsenal's academy, where she played for four seasons. She became Abbie Britton's first signing of the summer transfer window, when the FA's registration period opens on July 1.

Saskia played against the Grecians in 2025/26, while on loan at Hashtag United, and she helped the Tags to secure their tier three status before swapping the South East for the South West and joining City this summer.

On the move, Saskia said: "I'm really excited to get started, I want to play and develop as much as I can with the people around me and the team we have here. I'm really excited to play in this physical environment.

"I know how community-based Exeter City is so I want to get to know the fans, and everyone who's going to surround me at this club.

"I'm very physical, I'm ruthless in my tackling, but when I'm on the ball I'm calm and composed, and I like to encourage my teammates from the back."
