Ali Hines, who appeared alongside Grecians' manager Matt Taylor for Team Bath twenty years previously, bacame Exeter City's goalkeeping coach in June 2026 replacing former player Kevin Miller who had moved to Wigan Athletic. He arrived having spent nineteen years at Bristol City.

Ali had held a variety of roles within the academy and men's structure at Bristol City both as a goalkeeping coach and in other roles including development coach and assisting with the management of the club's under-21 and under-23 sides. He had also had a short spell in charge of Portishead Town's women's team.
