Dave Luxton, a St James' Park stadium tour guide from 2015, acted as leader of the team of volunteer guides working on behalf of the Exeter City Supporters' Trust.

Dave, who was born and brought up in St Sidwell's, was also a city council Red Coat Guide for many years conducting tours in and around the city.

An Exeter City supporter since childhood, Dave came close to being signed by the club as an associate schoolboy and was part of the Exeter and East Devon schools side that came up against a young Tony Kellow (playing for West Cornwall) in the English Schools Trophy in October 1966.

Moving into adult football Dave turned out for Exmouth Town, newly elected to the Western League, in the early 1970s with a particular highlight being an FA Cup appearance against Tiverton Town.
