Jed Penberthy commentated on Exeter City games for Radio Devon and also served as communications officer for the Exeter City Supporters' Trust.

Originally from Newton Abbot, Jed studied sports journalism at Sheffield Hallam University and undertook internships with Exeter City during the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons which saw him acting as matchday media officer, creating podcasts and writing content for both the club website and the printed programme. Around this time he was also communications officer for the supporters' trust together with participating in projects aimed at increasing supporter engagement.

Graduating in 2023, Jed subsequently gained a masters in broadcast journalism from Sheffield University and - after an internship with the Bauer Media Group - started commentating on City's away games for Radio Devon and on other teams for a variety of BBC local radio stations.
