Sam Beck started working for Exeter City’s academy as an eighteen-year-old in 2017 and performed a number of roles over the following nine years. 

A former student of Petroc College, Sam began working for the academy as a development centre coach and progressed to managing a development centre before becoming a lead coach for for the various age groups between twelve and fifteen. 

Doing this on a part-time basis whilst working in education as a behaviour mentor, cover supervisor and teaching assistant, Sam then had a spell as full-time alternative provision lead for the Exeter City Community Trust.

Leaving the academy in June 2026, Sam’s final roles included those of under-16s assistant coach and under-18s support coach.
