Mark Flay worked as an Exeter City scout during the 2020s both for the first-team and the academy.

Mark joined the Grecians as a first-team recruitment scout in December 2021 before switching to become an academy recruitment scout in October 2023.

Working on a part-time basis, his professional life saw him employed in a number of roles for Devon County Council and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
