Harry Hill reported on Exeter City for the Devon and Exeter Gazette during the early part of the club’s history.

Mr Hill started his newspaper career on the Exeter Flying Post (which ceased publishing in 1917) before moving to the Devon and Exeter Gazette where he was district reporter for East Devon and night sub-editor. 

Having reported on Exeter City for several seasons, he later spent twenty years with the Press Association in London reporting on horse racing.

He died in Exeter in February 1945 at the age of sixty-two.
