Alan 'Smiler' Gover worked in the Centre Spot at St James' Park during the 2000s.

He was later part of of a group of supporters' club members who travelled to various parts of Europe in 2014 to pay tribute to the Exeter City players who died in the wars of 1914-18 and 1939-45.
