Exeter City Women were delighted to announce the signing of Bethan McGowan, on the 17th July 2026, subject to FA Registration!

The 22 year-old central midfielder joins Abbie Britton's squad having most recently played for Gwalia United in the Southern Premier Division.

Bethan started her football career playing for Mumbles Rangers before moving to Penclawdd FC Boys and then Port Talbot Town Ladies. As a 16 year old Bethan played football for Port Talbot Town Ladies but a pre-lockdown trial led to her achieving a place at the Arsenal Academy. A former Welsh youth international at the Arsenal's academy, Bethan represented their PGA side, before moving to Birmingham City, West Bromwich Albion and Derby County.
