A former Royal Marine, Les Barrow was briefly Exeter City’s head of strength and conditioning during the mid-2020s. 

Originally from Oldham, Les had been a deep sea diver before serving in the Royal Marines as a physical training instructor between 2001 and 2022. Based at Lympstone, he was well-placed to take strength and conditioning roles at Exeter Chiefs and Exeter University on leaving the armed forces. 

Working for the Chiefs until June 2024, Les accepted the offer to perform a similar role with Exeter City although he was to return to Sandy Park at the start of 2025.
