With an IT technical support background, and with the Exeter City museum charity taking its first steps in using artificial intelligence, Steve Larne became a museum volunteer in 2026 working on enhancing match and squad photos. 

Steve provided the following to the Grecian Archive in July 2026:

"An Exeter City fan first and foremost since November 11 1980 when curiosity, as to what the crowd noise I could hear from my bedroom window in Heavitree was, took me along to see a 1-0 defeat by Barnsley. I still live and work in Exeter and am a regular at the Park with a few away games for good measure each season.

I have an avid interest in photography and, with thousands of family photos and a career in IT, I have been gradually going through them and enhancing them with a little help from AI.

In my spare time I cycle and swim, camp in my van and bring up my two teenagers".
