Phil Burden was a long-standing secretary of the Exeter City Supporters’ Trust having started volunteering at the club during the early days of supporter ownership.

First volunteering in 2004, Phil subsequently became the supporters’ trust’s secretary before being succeeded by Dean Matthews in 2023. His role as secretary involved organising meetings and elections together with a range of other administrative tasks.
