Brian Kennedy was the author of two books about Exeter City: Confessions of an Exeter City Nut and One Flew Over the Crossbar.

Based in Waterford in Ireland, Brian wrote and published books on a variety of subjects including music, radio, local history and football. 

As well as chronicling the history of Waterford FC, he published two books on Exeter City having supported the club from afar for many years. Confessions of an Exeter City Nut, his first venture into writing, was published in 2004 and was followed by One Flew Over the Crossbar three years later. 

Forever Blue, a history of Waterford FC published in 2023, was his fifteenth book and came after he had also published a book about the League of Ireland.
