With City 2-1 down and just six minutes remaining, the partial failure of the floodlights led to a number of City fans occupying the goal in protest. Eventually referee, Mike Bowdenham got the game back on, only for the floodlights to fail again and force the tie into a replay... a match City would lose 5-2!
