Biographical Text

Harry Kite, from Crediton, was a former academy player who emerged to play a role in City’s 2021/22 promotion season.

Harry became a scholar/trainee in 2016 and made his first-team debut as a substitute in the EFL Trophy against Yeovil Town in August 2017. He made another appearance in the same competition in 2018/19 against Bristol Rovers when he also had a substantial loan period at Dorchester Town playing over forty matches.

Harry gained further vital experience at Taunton Town in 2019/20 prior to the outbreak of COVD-19 but, with that level of football severely affected by the pandemic, Harry’s concentration was entirely on Exeter City during 2020/21. After two early EFL Trophy games, Harry made his league debut on 24 October 2020 against Scunthorpe United. He followed through with two more EFL Trophy appearances, an FA Cup tie and three further league matches before the end of the season. Harry had also opened his goalscoring account with two strikes in the EFL Trophy.

Then, in City’s 2021/22 promotion season, Harry appeared in fourteen league matches and six cup ties. In October of that season Harry signed a new deal through to 2024.

Harry played more often in 2022/23 and had soon doubled his total number of league appearances for the club before starting to feature less-often during the 2023/24 campaign. Rarely featuring after January 2024, Harry returned as a substitute against Port Vale on 13 April 2024 to complete a hundred league and cup apprearances for the Grecians on the day it was announced that he would be leaving St James' Park at the end of the season.
