Currently being redeveloped with the addition of two new stands, Ashton Gate has been home to the Robins since 1904. The current capacity of the ground is 16,600, however following the current redevelopment the ground will be able to hold 27,000 spectators by the 2016/17 season. Since 2014 Bristol City have shared the ground with Bristol Rugby Football Club.
