BILLY GOODWIN 'S MISFORTUNE.

Every sympathy among Soccer devotees in East Devon will be extended to Billy Goodwin, the former Exeter City centre-forward, at the news of the regrettable accident which befell him whilst playing for his present club, Southend, against Brighton and Hove, at the Goldstone Ground on Good Friday.
Soon after the commencement Goodwin, who was playing at inside left, came into violent collision with Smith, the Brighton back, and as a result his right leg was broken just above the ankle. Smith was also badly injured.
