The weather was fine for today's Football League match between the Grecians and Brighton at St James's Park. Exeter made several team changes, Jones, Smelt, and Lievesley displacing Potter, Kirk, and Blackmore.
Brighton were without their goalkeeper, Cook, formerly of the Argyle, and Dicky Downs, the English International back, by reason of injury.

Exeter were good value for their win, for if Smith(J) missed a couple of splendid chances for Brighton in the first half, so did Lievesley, who had rather an unlucky day in the matter of shooting. Charlton and Crompton played grand football for the Grecians, and except for the one position of centre-forward the whole team worked smoothly and well. Davis scored after eighteen minutes, and Pullan fifteen minutes from the end. The Grecians won without over-exerting themselves, and time. Brighton were a very mediocre side on this day's showing, and they have not pocketed a brace of points so comfortably for a long one shot, by T.Cook seemed to suggest he should be at centre forward instead of J.Smith.

Southern League
Pontypridd v City Reserves
The City Reserves were beaten at Pontypridd by 3 goals to 2, in their Southern League match against the local club. Kirk opened the score after ten minutes and Greenfield equalised fifteen minutes later. In the second half Casson scored twice for Pontypridd, and Kirk obtained another goal for the Reserves.
