Bournemouth v City
Exeter City relied upon the same team that thrashed Brentford on Saturday for today's re-arranged match with Bournemouth United, at Dean Court, Boscombe, while the United made no change from the side which defeated Queen's Park Rangers in London. The ground was very hard, and the weather fine and sunny.

Exeter City:
Bournemouth played in red and white jerseys, the City changing into white. Among the five thousand spectators were the Southampton team, Exeter's F.A.Cup conquerors of not so long ago. Charlton won the toss and the City had the advantage of a high wind. Two corners were forced by Bournemouth in the first minute, and when these were cleared the United made another raid, Roberts shooting hard for Bailey to make a thrilling save. The ball was very light and lively on the bone-hard ground, and the City half-backs found the Bournemouth forwards very sprightly and difficult to hold. Exeter improved, however, and a brilliant dribble by Kirk deserved a goal, but he tried to beat one man too many, and was eventually dispossessed by Butt close to the penalty spot.
Second Half.
Exeter were again put under pressure, and Bailey performed most valiantly, saving in quick succession from Roberts, R.McCulloch, and Eyre. Eventually he was beaten by Smith, who scored with a header from R.McCulloch's centre. Kirk equalised with twenty minutes left, having just previously struck the crossbar.
