Exeter City were beaten at Watford by a goal, scored by Roberts after twenty seven minutes of the first half, to nil. The match was played in a downpour of rain, the attendance being only three thousand.

There was a crowd of two thousand at St James's Park this afternoon, for the Devon Senior Cup semi-final between Tiverton and Tavistock. Each of the rivals brought along a number of excursionists, and club favours of yellow and black, for Tiverton, and of red and black, for Tavistock, were freely sported. The "Lambs" took the lead after 23 minutes, through Lowe, and this was added to ten minutes before the interval by Barkell. Hutchings for Tiverton and Barkell for Tavistock, scored in the second half.
Result: Tavistock 3 Tiverton 1.
