Soccer boss gets costly fan mail
FIVE football fans were so angry when their team lost a local derby that they have sent the a manager a bill! The fans who support City, are demanding their money back after their team's worst performance of the season" The 2-0 defeat against Plymouth Argyle killed off any chances of promotion to the Second Division. The disgusted supporters sent manager Brian Godfrey, a former Aston Villa player, a letter of complaint along with a E17.95 bill to cover their 120-mile trip, entry to the game, coffees, programmes and a bar lunch after the match. They wrote: "For all City supporters it was debacle. We all have, or did have pride in our club. "If the team let their supporters down, it's about time some were made to stay behind after school. "Perhaps our letter could be pinned up in
the clubs dressing room so the players realise the obligation they owe to their supporters as well as themselves." Manager Godfrey has every sympathy. He said: I thought it was an excellent letter. "I don't know about paying the bill, but I have stuck up the letter with the bill for the players to see." "Our performance was the worst I have seen from a side since I have been in football."
