Newport County 1 Torquay United 6, Tottenham Hotspur 1 Plymouth Argyle 2.

On Christmas Day, before an attendance of 8,000 at The Den, an equally entertaining game resulted in a draw of two goals all. Yardley scored both the Millwall side's goals, whilst Clarke and McCambridge netted for Exeter. The City team was:- Chesters, Gray, Miller, Clarke, Robinson, Angus, McCambridge, T.Scott, Ebdon, McLean, and Hurst.

EXETER CITY RESERVES.

A clever and enterprising exhibition was given by Yeovil and the City Reserves at St James's Park on Christmas Day, the Reserves winning by five goals (McArthur 2, Dunn 2, and Lowton, with a penalty) to three (Halliday, McNeil, and Connor).

City:- Kirk; Lowton, Crompton; Risdon, Bamsey, Barnes; Hoyle, Dunn, McArthur, Pope, and McArdle.

Yeovil:- Sommerville; Woods, Whelan; Smith, Price, Parkin; Connor, Park, Halliday, McNeil, and Holbeach.
