Five thousand spectators saw McCambridge kick off at Bristol in weather more suitable for cricket. Bristol City included their new centre-half, Hampshire, from Manchester City. Although Exeter did most of the attacking they were beaten by two goals to one, and Bristol were flattered by the result. Wallis and Lane scored for Bristol and Ebdon for Exeter.

CITY RESERVES v EXMOUTH.

Exeter City Reserves wound up their Exeter and District League programme at St James's Park this afternoon with a visit from Exmouth Town. Exeter gave a trial to S.Uren, of Plymouth, at inside right.

City Reserves:- Kirk; Haller, Brooking; Barnes, Fantham, Pate; Jarrett, Uren, McArdle, McArthur, Hoyle.
Exmouth Town:- Pope; Pedrick, Roskelly; Perry, Lavis, Miller; Farley, Norton, Wakeham, Richards, J.Pope.

Jarrett (2) and McArdle scored for Exeter in the first half. In the second half Jarrett and McArthur scored for the City, and Wakeham for Exmouth. Farley with a penalty kick for "hands" by Haller shot straight at Kirk.
