BRISTOL CITY
The match between the two western cities was not a good game of football, there being a lot more vigour than science. The robust nature of the proceedings was reflected in the number of injuries. Exeter had two cripples, Liddle and Bamsey. Bristol City had Brook injured. Harry Bowl, scorer of Exeter's first two goals, made successful a debut in the Grecians' colours. Exeter were leading by three goals to nothing until three minutes from the end, but in a dramatic closing rally Booth notched twice for the visiting team.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS 3
CITY RESERVES 0.
Within ten minutes Exeter City Reserves were a goal in arrears to Tunbridge Wells Rangers, Grainger outwitting their defence by a change of positions with Banks, and firing in an unstoppable shot. A poor goal-kick by Walker a quarter of an hour later enabled the Rangers to score a second goal through Rowbotham's interception, and after Walker had made several commendable saves a shot by Iles was deflected past him by one of the City defenders.
