To-day's struggle at Eastville was typical of the many meetings of Bristol Rovers and Exeter City. From the first kick to the last it was a gruelling affair, and the result, a draw of one goal each, was fair. Exeter were the cleverer side in the first half and for a period in the second, but Bristol were on top in the final minutes. Scorers: Pope 50 minutes, O'Mahoney 70 minutes.
Southern League
EXETER CITY RESERVES 2
BRISTOL ROVERS RESERVES 2.
At St James's Park. Attendance 1,000.

Rovers Reserves: Ellis; Plummer, Millar; Seward, McLean, Rose; Brennan, Hartill, Harris, R.Jennings, Sullivan.
Soft conditions underfoot made a welcome change for the players, though things were less pleasant for the spectators, the weather being cold, windy, and wet. The City fielded two new players in Harry Church, a goalkeeper who has seen service with Bolton Wanderers and Oldham Athletic and has come to Exeter on a month's trial, and W.A.Cotton, an amateur left back who is a master at Ashburton Grammar School.
