Match 02
1st September 1938
Queens Park Rangers (a)
Thursday, September 1st 1938.
QUEEN'S PARK RANGERS 5
EXETER CITY 0.
Forced to make two changes through Wallace being down with the 'flu and Liddle indisposed, Exeter City collapsed very badly in the closing stages of their match with Queen's Park Rangers on Thursday evening in London. Only one goal separated the teams at the end of an hour's play, and it was not until the closing stages that Exeter City were overwhelmed. They then encountered the Rangers, on of the best sides in the 3rd Division, in their most dominant mood.
