A thrilling closing rally enabled Exeter City to maintain their recent run without defeat as far as League matches are concerned. Less than twenty minutes from the end of their match at Bournemouth today the City, losing by 20, looked to be a well beaten side. They never gave up trying, however, and attacking strongly in the closing stages were on level terms with ten minutes to go. Scorers:- Taylor and Chalmers for Boscombe; Bowl and Bussey for the City.

As a result of gaining a point at Bournemouth the City ascended one place in the League table, being now fifteenth. They have taken 11 points out of a possible 12 in their last six League matches.

Tunbridge Wells Rangers, fulfilling their third fixture. in four days, made several late changes for their Southern League game at St James's Park today. The effect of one of them was to displace Hobbs, a Grecian last season, with Mainby, at centre half.
